Charities
Charities are regulated by the Charity Commission, and charity trustees need to be aware of the powers that the Charity Commission has as a regulatory body and what their obligations are, as set out in the Charities Acts. They are also subject - like anyone else - to the law in general and, therefore, charity trustees cannot escape the need to be aware of, and to comply with the myriad of rules and regulations, which govern life today.
We act for many charities, large and small, and have experience and an understanding of the many problems which face them and the way in which those problems can be solved. The law relating to charities and indeed the Charity Commission itself is changing substantially. Charities will need expert guidance as to how the changes affect them and how the changes will benefit the work of the charity. |
